Congressional hearings on “Restoration and development of regions in the context of Ukraine's accession to the EU”
On September 15, 2023, Congressional hearings were held on the topic: «Restoration and development of regions in the context of Ukraine's accession to the EU».
Volodymyr Trush, Chief of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration (Head of the Ternopil Regional Office for International Cooperation) joined the Congressional Hearings online.
During the online meeting, a number of issues were discussed, including the analysis of the main tasks from the Roadmap for Ukraine's accession to the EU, the implementation of recommendations, regulatory approximation to EU law, and foreign experience.
During the Congressional hearings, the main tasks and recommendations for updating the State and Regional Development Strategies for the period up to 2027 were identified, taking into account new challenges.
The event also focused on reaching a common understanding of the mechanisms for implementing cohesion policy elements in real state regional policy by executive authorities and local governments, especially under martial law and during the transition period.
Regional Office for International Cooperation is an initiative of the Congress of local and regional authorities under the President of Ukraine, which aims to develop the interaction of local and regional authorities with international partners who seek to cooperate at the level of the region and territorial community.
