On September 25, 2023, as part of the work of Ternopil Regional Office for International Cooperation, Ternopil Regional Military Administration hosted a meeting between the regional officials and representatives of The Sweden-Ukraine Foundation.

Since March 2022, the Foundation has been working closely with the Healthcare Department of the Regional Military Administration and Ternopil Regional Clinical Hospital. The total cost of the medical equipment delivered to Ternopil region by the Foundation is more than USD 3.2 million.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the provision of humanitarian medical aid to health care institutions in the region, the implementation of joint projects in the field of mental health and rehabilitation assistance aimed at internally displaced persons affected by the war and wounded soldiers.

As part of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ternopil Regional Military Administration and the Foundation to further develop partnership and support healthcare sector in the region.

Regional Office for International Cooperation is an initiative of the Congress of local and regional authorities under the President of Ukraine, which aims to develop the interaction of local and regional authorities with international partners who seek to cooperate at the level of the region and territorial community.
