The Sixth coordination meeting held to strengthen coordination of humanitarian response in Ternopil region.
On September 19, 2023, the Sixth Coordination Meeting was held at the Ternopil Regional Military Administration with the participation of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Ukraine, UN agencies, local and international non-governmental organizations and representatives of territorial communities in the region.
The event was attended by Viktor Ustenko, Deputy chief of Ternopil Regional Military Administration.
During the meeting, the launch version of the online platform of real estate objects of territorial communities of Ternopil region for conversion into housing for IDPs was demonstrated. The platform was created to strengthen the integration of IDPs into the region's communities and provide them with long-term housing.
During the event, the current humanitarian situation, work on the integration of IDPs, including opportunities for small business development and job creation, including through grant programs from international partners, were discussed and the Regional Office for International Cooperation in Ternopil Oblast was presented.
Also during the meeting, Joseph Crowley, Head of sub-office of the UN OCHA in Lviv, representatives of aid clusters and other international partners presented the status of humanitarian response in Ternopil region.
Regional Office for International Cooperation is an initiative of the Congress of local and regional authorities under the President of Ukraine, which aims to develop the interaction of local and regional authorities with international partners who seek to cooperate at the level of the region and territorial community.
