On December 26, 2023, as part of the work of the Regional Office for International Cooperation in Ternopil Region, an online meeting with representatives of the International Finance Corporation IFC (World Bank Group) was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration Viktor Ustenko.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss participation in the grant program for the renovation of municipal buildings for the settlement of internally displaced persons. The €25 million program was created in response to the IDP housing crisis, funded by the European Union and the German government, and will run until June 30, 2025.
During the meeting, they discussed the eligibility criteria that will be applied to the selection of buildings. These include, among other things, quality connection to utility systems and proximity to social infrastructure such as public transportation, schools and medical facilities.
Regional Office for International Cooperation is an initiative of the Congress of local and regional authorities under the President of Ukraine, which aims to develop the interaction of local and regional authorities with international partners who seek to cooperate at the level of the region and territorial community.
